This directory holds a bunch of GreenHouse developed NSK based tools. The software is free of any damaging code like Trojan Horses, viruses, worms etc. It is provided 'as is', and no warranty is given! Anyway: Feel free, to use them. The files, that make a tool, are compressed into one .ZIP file for each tool. This file has to be downloaded to your PC, and unzipped. You'll get the following type of files: File names starting with VERSION All file names, starting with the phrase 'VERSION', are text files, containing the VPROC of the programs along with the finger print. File extension TXT Files with the extension TXT are ASCII text file. You can read them with nearly any edit type program. File extension PDF All documents are provided in a PDF format. You can access them through ACROBAT Reader, which is freely available from the Internet. File extension PRN To ensure, that the fomat of documents is printed as accurate as possible, some documents are provided as PRN type files. All you need to do is, to COPY (e.g. drag and drop) these files to a LaserJet type printer. File extension 100, 700 and 800 Files with the extension 100 (objects), 700 (native S objects) and 800 (native H objects), e.g. WHOIS.100, are executable program files. They have to be loaded onto the Tandem System in binary mode, and the file code has to be changed through FUP from 0 to 100, 700, or 800 respectively, before they can be executed. File extension 991 Files with the extension 991, e.g. LAUNCHER.991, are SWARC Type Files. They have to be loaded in binary mode onto the Tandem System, and the file code has to be changed through FUP from 0 to 991. Then they have to be decompressed with the command: SWARCSET ,,MYID,VOL <$vol.subvol> [,PURGE] File extension 1729 Files with extensions 1729 are PAK type files. They have to be loaded in binary mode onto the Tandem System, and the file code has to be changed through FUP from 0 to 1729.
