SECOM - Version 7.21

GreenHouse finished developing and testing Version 7.21 of its SECOM product.
SECOM is a GUARDIAN based product performing:

  • ID switching (support of single sign on ON the system)
  • Command level security
  • Sub-command level security
  • Secure and controlled execution of obey files and TACL Macros
  • Session I/O tracing (GUARDIAN as well as OSS)

The SECMAN utility, which comes along with SECOM, allows a centralized maintenance of the SECOM data base.
The iWAMS product (integrated Web Administration Management Suite) has a SECOM module which allows the data base administration through a browser.

Major enhancements to version 625 are:

  • Version 700
    Support of time frames on the user
    SECOM session clean-up as a persistent process
    Introduction of CLS and FIND command
  • Version 701
    Propagation of DEFINES made controllable
    MAX command lines now can have more than 67 characters per command line
  • Version 710
    The OUT file of SECOM now can be an EDIT type file.
  • Version 720
    Introduction of generic commands
    Introduction of command AUTOCODE
    Killed Telnet window home terminals are now detected, preventing SECOM- and Tracer-sessions to hang.
  • The foot print of the library was minimized by moving all privileged actions into the new $WMSRV server process. This makes it needless to license WBLIB.
