GIVE is a newly designed and developed product by GreenHouse Software & Consulting. It is intended to enable the system manager to give a set of files, belonging to a specified number of users, to a new set of users. This is required when restructuring user IDs on a system, and a typical task when introducing security!
When changing the owner ID of a file, the two security attributes PROGID as well as LICENSE are lost by intention. GIVE is able to restore these attributes when executed from the SUPER.SUPER ID.

Command syntax to run GIVE:

[run] GIVE/[IN][,OUT]/filenametemplate [olduser newuser]
